The History of Lighthouse Subs...

The Light dawns........

Sometime in the year 1999, Mike Christian had an idea. He wanted to make sandwiches. Simple as that. Except that he wanted his sandwiches to be bigger and better than anything else in the state of Oregon. That was his idea.

He told his idea to his wife, Sandy, who heartily agreed that making sandwiches was the way to go. So, after several months of making themselves ready, they moved from Milton-Freewater to Lincoln City in March 2000, and rented out a large building at the south end of town. This they called Lighthouse Subs.

Several months later they had the opportunity to move their enterprise to a different location, and on Halloween they opened Lighthouse Subs from their current address at 1213 NW Hwy 101. And there they work today, bringing to fruition that simple idea of making sandwiches.

What Light the House Brings......

Lighthouse Subs is dedicated to providing the citizens and tourists of Lincoln City with a quality meal, and a healthy alternative to fast food. Fresh ingredients, sandwiches made as the customers order them, and a friendly atmosphere all come together to make Lighthouse Subs the excellent establishment that it is.

Our Employees

Usually, you can find both Mike and Sandy working side by side in the shop. They take pride in personally creating their product. But as their enterprise expands, they expect to hire other individuals to train.
